Homemade Chili Powder Blend

Use this delicious Homemade Chili Powder in your favorite Chili recipe (obviously), on rice and beans, eggs, vegetables and in salads! Making your own spice blends is not only cheaper but healthier! This recipe contains no silicon dioxide as opposed to many store-bought spice blends.

  • Yields: 5 Tbsp Chili Powder


6 tsp Ancho Chili Powder

1 tsp Chipotle Powder (optional: if you like it spicy)

2 tsp Paprika

2 tsp Cumin

2 tsp Garlic Powder

2 tsp dried Oregano


Combine all ingredients in a small cup or bowl. Use as needed! ENJOY!

*can be stored with an air-tight lid like any other spices in a cool, dry place!
*I found the Ancho Chili and Chipotle powders at my local Whole Foods. If you're feeling adventurous, you could use whole dried chili peppers and grind them yourself!
